Sunday, Sep 04 ,2022 : Somali Bankers Association earlier this week held its first networking event in Mogadishu, bringing together C-level executive individuals , industry wizards and junior bankers working for the Association’s member Banks . The sole aim of the event was to bridge networking Gaps, highlight key issues and unveil stretched collaborations between the member Banks.
Delivering his opening remarks, SBA CEO Yasin M.Ibar said that Networking Events break barriers and often redefine the existing collaborations between the member Banks.
“We often work closely with the CEO’s, but we held this event to offer a networking engagement between CEO’s, senior level individuals and the junior level officers within the member Banks “The CEO said.
SBA vice chairman Mohamed Abdi Olow has said that top executives and leading industry experts have arrived in the event to exchange their connections with the junior officers, saying that networking is necessary for the person’s career growth.
In his closing remarks, SBA Chairman Ahmed Shirwac has described the event as an opportunity that allows member Banks to exchange expertise and also expand their friendships. “If we get the right feedbacks on the event, we will hold such events consistently “the chairman notes.
SBA which is the umbrella body of the nation’s financial institutions aims to enhance and promote collaboration based relations between the industry giants.
